This photo series was aimed to capture and display Indian culture in a more editorialized way. Far too often, I see people appropriating south asian culture or it being depicted in a negative light. I also constantly see young South Asian people who are ashamed of their culture or are scared to fully embrace being Indian and American. I wanted these images to show pride, and depict the beauty of the culture and the intricacies of the clothing. I aimed to strike a balance between this serious tone and showing the joy that comes with it, and I’d like to thank you for taking the time out to view my work!
